yoga
Mind + Body + Spirit
You are probably already aware that yoga provides many physical benefits such as flexibility, strength, better posture, lower blood pressure and healthy joints. In addition to the physical boosts, it also helps you implement mental strength through stress reduction, mindfulness, calmness and sharpened concentration.
hatha
Focusing on posture and breathing techniques, Hatha Yoga includes concentration on breathing, holding poses, and channeling energy. “Hatha,” in Sanskrit, translates to “Force.” Moving your body intentionally and slowly through this type of yoga allows you to challenge your flexibility, strength, mindfulness, and focus. It reinforces good posture while also enhancing relaxation.
chair
Using the support of a chair (while seated) to practice yoga postures. Everything that is practiced in a main stream yoga class can be experienced while sitting in a chair! Gentle movements create flexibility, bone density and fascia health, joint pain relief, lessens anxiety and creates an overall feeling of well-being. Anyone, any age is appropriate for this group.
